Granite countertops

I also noticed when they were installing the Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops that there was a crack from one end to the other.  They told me that was normal...that when they were finished installing I would hardly notice it.  For the most part the crack is not visible but, there are several slight chips coming from the crack itself.  The installer said they would fill them with epoxy and (http://maplered.com) buff and (http://maplered.com) they'll be fine.  I wanted to know if it appears okay when they're finished, will there be any harm in leaving it as is?  I just wanted to be sure that over time this would not pose a problem.
